This is (almost) the full list of items that I will have in my backpack. Is it enough? We’ll see about that 🙂
- Passport
- Camera
- Camera batteries and memory cards (5 batteries, 6 memory cards)
- Tourist travel card
- Sunglasses
- iPhone lens – In case we need to take some shots with a phone
- Sweets for the Cuban kids – we were told they don’t have almost anything there. We packed up around 4kg of different sweets and chocolates
- Shampoo & Soap
- Tooth brush and tooth paste
- Selfie stick
- Boarding passes (for the planes) – we were only able to check-in for the outgoing flights (London -> Rome -> Havana). The return flights were too far to check-in.
- Sneakers
- Flip flops
- Socks – a lot of socks!
- Underwear
- Sun cream
- Mugga Effective Insect Mosquito Repellent
- Swimwear
- Shorts
- Jeans
- Outfit for New Year’s Eve – not what we expected, but more to follow on this topic soon
- Clean clothes for all inbound and outbound flights
- 3 copies for each documents, boarding passes, hotel reservations – call me paranoid, I just like to be prepared. After all, we are going on the other side of the world and we are not sure what to expect.
- Small backpacks – for when we will be walking with most of our luggage left in the hotel
- Small hooks for things we want to hang on the backpacks
- Medicines – hopefully we won’t need them, but just in case.
- European Health Card – this is useless outside Europe, but we are still spending almost 2 days in Rome, Italy
- Pounds and Dollars
