The best way to share a holiday experience with others is taking photos or videos. Currently I have only one camera – Canon 700D.
I was thinking about getting GoPro Hero 5, but that may be a little bit too much on the financial side. Of course, we have a budget for this trip, so I prefer to spend more money on traveling and less on video shooting gear. Plus, as mentioned above, I already have a camera which is more than capable of doing what I need it to do.
I don’t consider myself being an advanced photographer. I actually put myself below the average or even at a beginner level. That’s why I think this camera is enough for me for now and I have a lot more to learn with it before moving on to something better.
The only thing I consider as disadvantage of my camera is the lens. I currently have 18-55mm stock lens which came with the camera when I bought it. Although this is a great lens, I feel I need better zoom. Especially now, I think I’ll need to “get closer” to objects, without getting closer to them.
While reading over blogs, forums and websites, and talking with a friend who has a lot more experience than me (thanks Stoyan!), I’ve ordered CANON EF-S 18-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Zoom Lens. It’s already dispatched and should be with me in the next 2-3 days. Can’t wait to get my hand on it!
